How it works

We set up your organization

CORE MDM creates your organization and makes you its owner. You can add more admins from your team.

Phones join with your code

You get a short join code. On each phone, open CORE MDM, choose Join an organization and type it in. The phone shows your name and asks to confirm.

You set the rules

Choose your rules once on the website and every phone in your organization follows them as soon as it's online.

You decide how strict each rule is

Every setting in CORE MDM can be set three ways for your whole organization.

Open

You leave it to each phone's own admin, for example a parent, to decide.

Default

Your choice applies to every phone, unless that phone's own admin changes it for their phone.

🔒 Locked

Your choice applies to every phone and nobody else can change it, not on the website and not on the phone.

Questions

How do we start an organization?

Organizations are set up by the CORE MDM team, who make your organization and name its owner. The owner then signs in on the organization page to set everything up.

Do the phones need anything special?

Just CORE MDM, installed the normal way from our installer. Any phone running it can join with your code.

Can a phone's own admin change our rules?

Not the ones you lock. Settings you leave as Default they can change for their own phone, and Open settings are entirely theirs.

Can a phone leave the organization?

Only if one of your admins removes it. The person holding the phone can't take it out.

What can we see about the phones?

Each phone's name, model and when it was last online. CORE MDM manages what a phone can do. It doesn't read messages, track location or record browsing. See our Privacy Policy.
